Welcome to Rich Mountain Cabin located less than 3 miles from downtown Boone. Our secluded and pet friendly cabin offers 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with 4,200’ in elevation, which is always around 3-5 degrees cooler than downtown (NO AC, but ceiling fans and box fans are provided, IF needed). Our cabin is also under partial to full shade all day during the summer. Due to these unique conditions, we rarely see temps escape the 70s.
Rich Mountain Cabin is conveniently located to ALL of the attractions the High Country has to offer. Looking for convenience, tranquility, connect with Mother Nature but yet be close to everything? Rich Mountain Cabin is just what you’re looking for!! There are walking trails throughout the property, surrounded by trees, noisy creek, 3 fire pits, picnic table and plenty of room for the kids to explore with our unique tree fort! Stay connected with FREE WIFI, too! Plus, ALL bed/bath linens are provided. Now you can relish in our natural paradise we have to offer!
At Rich Mountain Cabin, we believe that nobody should be left behind. We will allow you to bring your four-legged family member with you for a onetime nonrefundable pet fee of $75 per pet. Isn't it wonderful that for once you won't have to wonder how your best friend is doing in the kennel "back home?" Maximum of 2 large dogs and 3 small dogs.
UPPER FLOOR: Upon entering our open floor plan, guests will immediately feel at home. The living room with a couch and rocking recliner, step-saver kitchen, dining area and king size bedroom and full bathroom are all on the main level. The TV in the living room offers Roku so you can watch your favorite Netflix movie, Hulu, or other apps that you have accounts with. Plus, there is a DVD player with a few select DVDs. There are many board games provided for everyone to create fun memories. The fully stocked kitchen offers a Kitchen-Aid stand mixer, bread machine, standard coffee maker, seasonings/spices, microwave, side by side fridge, and most everything else you need to prepare your favorite meal. Sorry, but there is NO dishwasher.
UPPER FLOOR: There is a private queen size bedroom with lots and lots of books and a full bathroom with a stand-up shower.
LOWER LEVEL: There are 2 twin beds for extra sleeping on the lower level. The ping pong table and dart board is located in the garage along with the full-size washer and dryer (no bathroom on the lower level).
OUTSIDE: During the warmer months, the outside is where you’ll want to be! There is a deck just off the king size bedroom with seating for 2. The deck just off of the living room has a nice dining table for 4, subtle lighting and a gas grill. Listen to the sounds of Mother Nature while you drink your morning coffee, having lunch or grilling out with your favorite meal on our spacious deck. While enjoying the deck, you’ll enjoy the sounds of the creek. Take a stroll with many walking trails throughout our lush wooded 1.5 acre property with 3 fire pits. There is a small fire pit located next to the creek just down the stone path next to the cabin. It is a cozy spot that can fit 6 comfortably without needing to pull down extra chairs. The second fire pit is in the middle of the back yard and this spot is the best for larger groups (you’ll need to bring your own chairs). The third fire pit is by the treehouse. This one includes a picnic table and is our favorite due to the privacy it offers.
