Alpen Rose-Lansing, NC

Fantastic week. Great home - the views are fabulous. Comfortable, cozy, and well stocked for guests. Close to town, yet very private. Lansing Creeper Trail is a good place for an easy walk. We went multiple times. Nice to see downtown Lansing coming back after the hurricane. West Jefferson downtown is full of great shopping and good food. Overall, this cabin is an awesome choice. We will be back.

This is our second time at Alpen Rose and we will be back! The cabin is luxurious and very private and is perfect for us to escape life for a few days in seclusion. Stacy is a generous and gracious host and never fails to make us feel at home. Wholeheartedly recommend!!

Views are amazing, was able to cook a nice Easter dinner, grill is great, lay out is comfortable with nice beds. Being able to bring our dog is a huge plus. Definitely would stay again.

This is the second time we have rented Alpen Rose - the view just can't be beat! We were very pleased with the cabin and the cabin was very welcoming when we arrived, with lights on and music playing. Thanks for the stay - we love Alpen Rose! Also, we were pleased to see that the roads in the development leading up to the cabin had been improved since our last visit in 2016.

The kitchen was very equipped and the beds/blankets were extremely comfortable. The game room and the X-Box were great as well! A great cabin that was roomy enough for the 7 of us. Overall great way to start off the new year!

We absolutely loved the cabin. It accommodated our group perfectly. We visited during the winter and it was so nice the driveway was plowed and the porch was clear of snow. The bedding was amazing, definitely the coziest blankets I have ever had in a rental. Stacey was wonderful. As nice as it is to go straight to the cabin, punch in a code, and enjoy. It was sad that I didn't get to meet Stacey and give him a big hug! Thanks again for everything!

I am very particular about bedding/mattresses. The master suite had a very good mattress. The original accommodations for our vacation trip were scheduled for March 15 through March 23. My husband had a motorcycle accident and broke his ankle on March 9, 2013. Mr. Hamilton was so kind, and helpful and allowed us to reschedule our vacation in May. We really did appreciate this kindness and understanding that life happens!!!!!As a result we will be scheduling another trip and looking forward to working with Mr. Hamilton.

We had a great time. Each couple (3) had their own bedroom and full bath. The cabin is modern and well built with a great view. Ten inches of snow had fallen the night before and we were able to get to the cabin ok using 4-wheel drive. The road had been scraped but had icy patches made it a little slick.

We have stayed in many cabins in the past and this is the first one that we have stayed in where we could find no short comings. Everything was thought of in the kitchen, the furnishings were comfortable and clean. Parking was lavish due to the remote location of the cabin. Alpen Rose is a wonderful property, and is perfect for both families and groups as well as couples. While a little bigger than we needed, the layout was perfect for an anniversary trip because everything that was needed was on one level so the size of the cabin was really not a factor. The location was just perfect and really gave that sense of seclusion, even though there is another cabin across the road. Unless you looked for it, it really felt like we were alone in the world....just what we were looking for! Stacey is always a pleasure to deal with on the phone. He makes things so simple that its a no-brainer to return to his properties year after year.

We had a wonderful time. Snow! Everything was beyond expectation. Although, we did not use the hot tub. Amazingly, we did not miss it. The beds were comfortable, the fireplace was perfect. The views were awesome. All in all, a lovely way to celebrate my fiftieth birthday. We may like to return in the warmer season. Thank you for everything.

We had a wonderful time (although we were wishing for snow!). The cabin was great and we had lots of roads (trails) that we could walk our dogs on. The cabin was so clean it was hard to believe someone else had stayed in it. We have stayed in alot of cabins over the last few years and this was the best one - loved it!

WOW! What a perfect cabin! We arrived late at night and upon waking the next morning (beds were awesome) we saw such an amazing view. Abundant wildlife everywhere...our next trip up we will be feeding the birds! Loved watching the deer! This 25th anniversary was the best! We are going back to this cabin in 3 weeks. Can't wait! The unit was clean and well made up for our arrival. Stacey and the other staff with whom we spoke were most helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much. The directions were perfect but we soon learned the Wade Barre Road cut through as we spent much time on 221. Thanks so much for the Lowes card on the key ring. We missed it the first time we stocked up as we were not familiar with that benefit. We plan to email Stacey a great picture of deer that we captured right outside the kitchen window one evening should he decide to use it.
