Escape to the mountains at Upward Way Cabin, a charming rustic log cabin offering privacy, plenty of outdoor space, and all the modern conveniences needed for a relaxing getaway. With accommodations for up to five guests, this pet-friendly cabin features a private hot tub, pool table, seasonal gas fireplace, outdoor gas fire table, and three inviting levels to enjoy. Located approximately 10 minutes from downtown West Jefferson, Upward Way Cabin offers a peaceful mountain setting while keeping you within easy driving distance of Boone and Blowing Rock. 

Important Notes: This cabin is access by a steep graveled driveway. We do not recommend low profile vehicles. Our cabin is not motorcycle or trailer friendly. Chains and/or 4WD/AWD with good tires are strongly recommended for stays during November through April.

Main Level
The main level welcomes you with a comfortable living room featuring a seasonal gas fireplace and Smart TV—the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring the High Country. Doors lead directly to the covered back deck, where you can unwind and enjoy the fresh mountain air.

The fully stocked kitchen includes a gas stove, regular drip coffee maker, crockpot, blender, and everything you need to prepare meals during your stay. The dining table seats four, with additional seating available at the kitchen island.

The spacious main-floor bedroom features:

• King-size bed
• Smart TV
• Private en suite bathroom
• Soaking tub
• Large walk-in shower

Upper Level
Upstairs, the open sleeping loft provides additional accommodations with:

• One full-size bed
• One twin bed
• Full bathroom
• Small desk for working or planning the day’s adventures

Please note that this is an open loft-style sleeping area rather than a fully enclosed bedroom.

Lower Level Game Room
The lower level is designed for fun and relaxation. Challenge your family and friends to a game of pool, settle onto the loveseat for movie night, or step outside to enjoy the cabin’s wonderful outdoor amenities.

Pet-Friendly
Dogs are welcome with prior management approval and a $125 pet fee. The following restrictions apply:

• Maximum of two dogs
• Each dog must weigh less than 40 pounds
• All pets must be approved by management before arrival

Important Notes: 
***The cabin is access by state maintained paved roads. However, it may be necessary to have 4X4 vehicles with tire chains during the winter months. 
***The owners use outdoor surveillance cameras to ensure that their home remains safe. No cameras monitor the inside rooms of the home. One camera facing the front driveway and one camera on upper back deck for the views.
***There is no land-line phone in this cabin. Cell phone coverage is not guaranteed. The home does have WIFI so you may be able to call using WIFI calling.
***No Smoking inside the cabin
***Minimum age requirement is 25 years old
