We had a wonderful experience at High Nest Lodge! The house was beautiful with great views. So many seating areas around the house were perfect for our big family. This rental, Mountain Dreams, is perfect for more than one family! Everyone had space but the kitchen/upper living was amazing for us gathering together. We had kids & tons of things for them to do. A great yard to run around in. The gated porch was PERFECT! this place was wonderful to recharge batteries for our whole family!
I booked this cabin, Incommunicado, to stay local to the area to go hiking in Grayson Highlands. The location was perfect for a nice mountain getaway! The views of the mountains from the front porch was so peaceful and relaxing. Inside, there were plenty of games to play in the evenings and the hottub was a great addition to relax.
High Mountain Cabin Rental representatives actually do communicate via email and HUMANS answer their phone! Every reservation, payment, check -in and out detail was just as described. All this is positive, BUT the property itself is the MEMORY-Maker. I have never stayed in a cleaner rental. Every space was just spotless. THANK YOU, HMCR cleaning crew. That is Golden Rule cleaning. They even had the hot tub heated perfectly for us upon arrival. The kitchen had every pan, dish and utensil we could have possibly needed to cook our Thanksgiving dinner. Hawk's View Cottage is BETTER than the pictures....it was home for Thanksgiving weekend!

From the moment we walked in we fell in love with the house (King of the Hill). This house was exactly what I expected a mountain cabin to be like. It was great to be able to take our dogs. I brought our wireless fence system and our fur babies loved running in the yard. My family is ready to rent again. I really felt like THE KING OF THE HILL.

This rental property, A Sunset Ridge, exceeded my expectations! My family and I (me, my husband, two teens and two young adults) had a very relaxing time during our stay. It rained the first three days we were there, but with the indoor movie theatre, covered hot tub, and ping pong table, we were able to really enjoy ourselves despite all the rain. Once the sun came out, the mountain view from this property was breathtaking! The location to downtown West Jefferson, grocery stores, Walmart, and restaurants was very nice. We do plan and are looking forward to booking this property again for future get-a-ways. Thank you so much!!
